Description

In summary, Jesus was a poor man of simplicity, compassion, and love. Jesus lived by the generosity of the people he met. Jesus was a homeless swagman, walking the highways and byways of the country roads carrying his staff and swag, Jesus ate donated food and slept by the side of the road when he had no shelter for the night. Jesus spoke with wisdom to those in need of his spiritual guidance. He taught people how to love God and one another, and how to respond with kindness to the hardships and vagaries of life.
In 400 CE, Caesar Constantine was in trouble, religious cults were in unending conflict, and the Roman Empire was in decline. Caesar Constantine had to do something about preserving the Empire.
When the disciples of Jesus came to Rome and taught their benign spiritual form of social conduct to the people, Constantine saw firsthand the transformation of people's lives. Constantine thought this was an opportunity to change the multitude of religious cults to a unified religion and hopefully save the Empire. Constantine accepted the Christian mantle and assumed the role of First Pope.
Using the Roman army, Constantine forced a Christian Theocracy on the Roman Republic. The Roman conversion to the Christian Theocracy was brutal. From a benign, peaceful teaching of Jesus, the Theocratic Christian Government of Rome made it law. The new religion of Rome did not resemble the teaching of Jesus. Just because the Roman Senate was now a Theocracy, it did not change the attitude or behavior of the Romans, they simply adopted a different mantle and continued with business as usual. The benign social and spiritual reform of Jesus disappeared and a brutal religious Theocratic Christian Government took its place.
Over the centuries, the Papal Army is responsible for the torture; imprisonment and murder of thousands of people who refused to acknowledge or adhere to the Theocratic Christian rule of Rome. Gone was the benign teaching of Jesus replaced with the ruthlessness of conquers.
Since 400 CE, Popes are the leaders of the Roman Empire until 1905 when the Italian State became an independent republic. Popes have always lived in palaces, wore royal regalia and a crown. They had concubines, and slaves. They hunted and held lavish parties. They say the Theocratic Christian rulers of Rome represent Jesus, but the life style and unlimited power of the Popes is the exact opposite to who Jesus was.
The Popes created the Christian religion, enacted social laws, controlled armies, conducted wars, and executed people by the thousands. The Popes have always defended their actions by saying they do all this in defense of God. It seems no one ever told Rome that God does not need defending.
All this evidence is white washed under the pretense of preserving the teaching of Jesus and serving God, it is not.
The book includes a section for group discussion on the teaching of Jesus.
All the above information about the church is available on public record.
